Infectious Diseases Information & Policies

Current Infectious Diseases Policies:

• Patients are required to wear face coverings at all times and sanitize hands upon entering and leaving.

• If you are sick, even if you think you might get better, cancel your appointment. (This includes any of the following symptoms: fever (100.0 and above) or chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, headache, muscle/body aches, runny nose/congestion, new loss of taste or smell, or nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.) Our therapists reserve the right to refuse treatment if you show up sick to your appointment.
  
  Why should you reschedule when sick? To protect you, ourselves, and other patients:

  • When you are ill, receiving massage or other soft tissue work is thought to increase your symptoms, due to increased flow in your circulatory and lymphatic systems

  • Our therapists must stay strong and healthy in order to work

  • We have a fair amount of patients with auto-immune pathologies for whom even a cold virus can be more severe than the average person

  • If you are not sure whether you should come in or not, please call us at 781-444-3609, or email your therapist. We ask that you make the decision to reschedule as soon as possible, so your slot may be filled with another patient.

What we are doing to mitigate risk of spreading infection:

• We are only doing contactless check-out and require a credit card on file in advance of your appointment.

• As always, we provide all of the fresh sheets and pillowcases required for your appointment. However, if you would like a blanket, please bring your own (in a bag so it can be safely transported out of the office). Each table also has the option to be heated.

• On top of our regular careful universal hygiene, we are disinfecting high contact areas regularly.  

• In addition to our regular treatment room sanitizing, we have enclosed all soft surfaces in a non-porous material that is sanitized in between appointments. 

• Therapists are wearing high quality face masks.

• Each treatment room has an Air-Free Tulip Air Purifier. The Thermodynamic TSS Technology silently destroys airborne bacteria, viruses, mold, organic allergens, and all airborne microorganisms at temperatures of 400°F, in a filterless operation.
