Katie Adams
Nationally Certified NeuroMuscular Therapist
Founder, 360 NMT®

Katie Adams holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Ithaca College and a massage therapy diploma from the Massage Institute of New England. In 1996, she earned certification in NMT American Version® under the instruction of its founder, Judith DeLany. As a lifelong dancer, Katie became interested in how massage expedites injury repair. She completed an internship at Melman Chiropractic Group, Boston, and began treating clients at Raftis Physical Therapy Associates in Newton, MA. While continuing to build her private practice, Katie worked at Orthopedic Physical Therapy Services in Wellesley, the Abbott Center for NeuroMuscular Therapy in Westwood, and Myotech Combined Therapies in Dedham, before founding 360 NeuroMuscular Therapy in 2004.

360 NMT® is the only practice in Greater Boston exclusively focused on rehabilitation of soft tissue dysfunction associated with medically diagnosed injury and pain derived from myofascial trigger points. Every member of the staff holds the national neuromuscular therapy certification. Under Katie's leadership, the company has built strong collaborative relationships throughout the health care community. The practice provides adjunct care for leading hospital medical practices, pain-focused physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors and dentists.

Katie specializes in manual trigger point deactivation and speaks regularly about evidence-informed management of myofascial pain at medical conferences. She is currently working with her partner, Stewart Wild, to launch an advanced new course in neuromuscular therapy next year – the first in a planned two to three-year master's-level certification program offered by 360 NeuroMuscular Therapy.
